Invecchiamento

Dopo un intenso uso dei carri nei vari teatri di guerra era inevitabile un'accumulo di polvere e sporcizia nelle parti basse del carro vicino al treno di rotolamento.
Ecco come procedo nel simulare questo sporco.
Nelle parti basse delle piastre inclinate vado a stendere con l'aerografo una mano di colore molto diluita di color terra e una mano successiva di grigio chiaro tenendo l'aerografo molto inclinato dal basso per creare una sfumatura omogenea.

Rosso Minio

Partendo dal presupposto che questo carro è un prototipo, ho pensato di riprodurre alcune piastre in rosso minio (vernice antiruggine) per spezzare la verniciatura a un tono.
Per riprodurre il colore minio uso il Tamiya XF-9 Hull Red.
Assuming that this tank is a prototype, I decided to play some plates in red minium (anti-rust paint) to break the paint tone.

To match the color red lead used Tamiya XF-9 Hull Red.

Dopo aver verniciato le piastre con l'XF-9 non ho eseguito una vera e propria modulazione del colore ma mi sono limitato a schiarire solo le zone alte delle piastre lasciando poi ai filtri di colore il compito di cambiare i toni.
After the plates coated with the XF-9 I have not done a real modulation of the color but I just lighten only the higher parts of the plates, leaving it to the task of color filters to change tones.

Ecco invece come i filtri hanno modificato le varie tonalità delle piastre.
This is rather like filters have modified the various shades of the plates.

Modulazione del colore: Fase 4

Partendo da una miscela composta da 4 gocce di bianco e una di giallo sabbia, con un pennello 0-0 vado a dipingere tutte quelle parti in rilievo esposte direttamente alla luce. 


Starting from a mixture of 4 drops of white and yellow sand, going 0-0 with a brush to paint all the parts in relief directly exposed to light.

Una volta preso confidenza con la tecnica, questa regalerà molte soddisfazioni. Personalmente penso di applicarla per tutti i miei prossimi lavori visto la soddisfazione che provo vedendo il carro finito. Il prossimo passo sarà la modulazione della mimetica a due o tre toni andando a schiarire oltre che al colore base, anche le macchie degli altri due toni. Un lavoro immane ma pieno di soddisfazione.

Modulazione del colore: Fase 3

Procedo sempre con l'aggiunta del bianco ( 1 goccia + 4 gocce di alcool) ma vado a ridurre la superficie di verniciatura spostandomi sugli spigoli delle piastre.
Always proceed with the addition of white (1 drop + 4 drops of alcohol) but I'm going to reduce the surface paint on the edges of moving plates.

Noterete come la sfumatura sia abbastanza naturale creando profondità e spezzando la monotonia della
mimetica a un colore!

Modulazione del colore: Fase 2

Si procede con lo schiarimento ulteriore del giallo sabbia con un'altra goccia di bianco e quattro di alcool.
Questa volta ci spostiamo nella parte alte delle piastre e vicino agli spigoli nel cielo della torretta e scafo.
We proceed with the further clearing of yellow sand with another drop of alcohol in white and four.
This time we move into the high and close to the edges of the plates in the sky of the turret and hull.

Diluendo il colore a ogni passaggio, creiamo delle sfumature uniformi ma questo richiede più passaggi visto la diluizione del colore.

Ora si comincia a schiarire il colore base con il bianco Tamiya XF-02

Aerografo in mano con  il giallo sabbia nel serbatoio. Vado a mettere una goccia di bianco più quattro gocce di diluente per acrilici (io uso tranquillamente l'alcool denaturato) e comincio a verniciare le piastre dalla mezzeria in su verso l'alto cercando di creare una sfumatura omogenea!

Ecco come procedo per la modulazione del colore con giallo sabbia.
Stendo su tutto il carro il giallo sabbia Tamiya XF-60.

E qui ecco le zone dove si vede ancora il giallo sabbia integro.
Notare che si presenta solo nelle parti basse delle piastre inclinate e vicino alle zone d'ombra sul cielo
torretta e scafo.
